More details can be found on the bill below:
- The purpose of the bill is to take 11.69 hectares of Recreation Reserve land in Tāmaki in east Auckland and allow housing development on the land.
- They are already intensifying this area and surrounding areas, and now it is proposed taking these green areas away.
- It was announced in the house on 7th December 2016 and submissions have to be made by Tuesday, 31 January 2017.
It had its first reading and it is now at select committee stage, the different stages can be seen here
